Sustainability
Flowy’s commitment to the principles and values of slow fashion comes in different forms. Flowy, for instance, uses organic cotton as a primary material, which is sustainable, durable and pleasant to the skin. It prints its photos with an eco-friendly method called Direct-To-Garment. DTG uses water-based inks, which are gentle on the skin and the environment, and produces durable and vibrant colours for long lasting wear. Also, the emboidered logos are made with quality, soft and sustainable lyocell threads.
Flowy at the moment sources its clothing through Stanley/Stella, and for the future it is open to other eco-friendly manufacturers, and/or to fully design its own apparel. Ultimately, Flowy aims to produce timeless clothes that are made to last and to be enjoyed, either for its elegant simplicity when decorated with a simple embroidered logo, or as small pieces of wearable art when they contain photographs taken by the founder.
